Day2-Alishan

At day 2, We woke up at 7am in order to catch 0810 or 0840 direct bus to alishan. We took the complimentary breakfast at the country hotel. The schedule of the bus at chia yi to alishan is 0740,0810,0840,0910,1001,1210. As we were only going to stay for a day, we need to go up to alishan as soon as possible to explore around. So we took the 0840 bus and the journey takes around 2.5 hours to go up. The bus ticket cost 221nt and there was a 20% discount for return trip. We have asked the minsu to arrange a van to go down from alishan to chiayi which will pass by fen qi hu(奋起湖）and tian chang di jiu(天长地久）bridge at 400nt for each person. There was a auntie at the bus station promoting her package. She was offering 400nt for sunrise package at yu shan and also van down from alishan to chia yi. We were afraid that she wants to con us to buy package from her and we have already told minsu to arrange transport for us. So we decided not to take up her package.

The space is quite small inside the bus, luckily the bus were quite empty and we just leave the luggage lying on the passage way.

After 2.5hours of ride, we finally reach alishan. We alighted at the 7-11 bus terminal, and walked to our xin xin minsu which is just beside the 7-11. The bus tickets can still be purchased if there is any change to the plan at the 7-11 store. The daily bus schedule to go down from alishan to chiayi TRA is 0910,1110,1330,1410,1510,1610,1640,1710.

Then we headed to the recreational park after a briefing by the minsu boss. The trip takes around 3hours. So we went there straight after lunch. The minsu boss recommend us to walk up to zhu shan instead of going to yushan by car. Zhu shan is much higher and is the best view to see sunrise but the downside point is to climb up for 1 hr. The train service was not resumed yet so we can only walk up to zhu shan. My friend told me that he was quite disappointed with the yu shan sunrise so I decided to go up to zhu shan.

We wanted to go to 日出有大美 for steamboat which was recommended on tv show, but it was closed down. So we went to the restaurant beside our minsu to try this stone steamboat. This is really big for the 2 of us, but we managed to finish most of it. We decided to go back early to sleep as we have to wake up at 3.30 am to climb up to zhu shan in the next morning.
